The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC)

The NCTC serves as the primary government agency for analyzing between 8-10,000 pieces of terrorism intelligence every day from 16 federal agencies to protect our national security.

WORDE is committed to working with the NCTC to help identify radical ideologies that are used by militants to justify and encourage violent extremism; provide cultural competency training to differentiate the practices of mainstream moderate Muslims from radical Islamists; cultivate authentic resources to counter radical narratives and Islamist propaganda; and provide timely information and analysis on the nuances of the American Muslim community.

In addition to meeting with the Direct of the NCTC, Michael Leiter, WORDE has established a relationship with the Chief of the Countering Violent Extremism Group, Dan Sutherland.

In March 2011 Mr. Sutherland was invited by WORDE to speak to a Washington DC Muslim Community at the International Cultural Center. Read more…
